From July 10, 2019, the Villa Reale & Parco di Monza Consortium, in collaboration with ArtGlass and Capitale Cultura Group, with the support of Assolombarda, proposes a new exclusive tour in two languages (Italian and English) to the Royal Apartments, using the Augmented Realitysolutions on avant-garde transparent multimedia glasses. It will be a new and even more spectacular experience, which will allow you to visit the “jewel” of the royal residence from a different and unique perspective.

The visit will focus on the story of the life of the Court at the time of the Savoia Reign, revealing to visitors details of the everyday life of the Royal family, from the King’s menu to the secret passages hidden in the walls of some rooms. The tour will involve most of the rooms which are open to the public, with a selection of immersive and 3D content into the most significant environments, thanks to the contribution of actors in historical costumes as modern digital “avatars”. The visitors will be accompanied by the main characters of the Villa and thanks to Augmented Reality they will live a temporal journey that will bring them back to the time when the Villa was lived by the Royal family and their guests.

The initiative is carried out in partnership with Explora, the Destination Marketing Organization of Lombardia Region, the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce and Unioncamere Lombardia, which aims to promote tourism and the attractiveness of the destination through the tourist promotion brand of the Lombardia Region “InLombardia”.

The Villa Reale in Monza is also one of the cultural place marked by the app “InLombardia PASS”, and where you can put the stamp on “#ilPassaporto inLombardia”,  and just for this initiative, the neoclassical residence also becomes a free pickup point of the only passport that allows you to collect memories of your travel in Lombardia.
