The project for the enhancement of the Heritage Centre of the UNESCO site Mantua and Sabbioneta, located at the Pescherie di Giulio Romano, represents a significant intervention for the recovery and enjoyment of an abandoned historical building. In collaboration with ARtGlass, Capitale Cultura Group won the tender to return this heritage to the city of Mantua and its residents. Through the use of innovative technologies, the site will become a cultural and educational reference point.
The integration of advanced technology into the project includes the 3D reconstruction of the historic site and the implementation of an Augmented Reality app, ARtGlass, which will allow visitors to virtually explore the history of the location. Thanks to this technology, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the past, exploring how the Pescherie appeared and understanding the historical and cultural connection with water, a central element in the city of Mantua.
In addition to the technological aspect, the intervention includes a sensory path with artistic installations that combine lights, sounds, and images, creating an immersive experience that will further enrich the visit. These installations will not only provide a visual and auditory experience but also help evoke and celebrate the historical memory of the site.
The project goes beyond the physical enhancement of the site and aims to strengthen the connection with the community, promoting active citizen participation and increasing awareness of the history and cultural heritage of the area. The new Heritage Centre will thus become a meeting point between the past, present, and future, with the goal of connecting people to the history of Mantua and Sabbioneta in a new, accessible, and engaging way.
